With an undergraduate degree in American Studies from Amherst College and a Masters of Fine Arts in photography from Washington University in St. Louis, Aimee enjoys where creativity and communication meet. Since 2009 she has served as the Director of Development for The New Community School where she has developed a comprehensive fundraising and communications program. Before joining New Community, she was the Development Manager at ART 180 where she was recognized as one of Richmond’s “Top 40 under 40” by Style Weekly for her work with the “Change for a Ten” community art project and as the 2009 VAFRE Rising Star Award Recipient. She has also worked as the Gallery Administrator and Development Director at 1708 Gallery in Richmond, Director of Operations at Art4Love in New York City, and as an Admissions Counselor at Washington University.

She has served as a board member for the Virginia Association of Fund Raising Executives (VAFRE) and The Richmond Public Library Foundation and continues to volunteer for ART 180. She runs her own freelance photography and design business which has served primarily nonprofit clients including: Virignia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA), Henley Street Theatre, Housing Opportunities Made Equal (HOME), Virginia Home for Boys and Girls (VHBG), Dominion Youth Services (DYS), Library of Virginia, Jackson Feild Homes, Quirk Gallery, and more.

Between it all she pursues her art, exhibiting her photography nationally. Her work has earned her residencies at Cooper Union in New York and the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris.
